Women Battling Cancer Can Look Good… Feel Better at Tanner Breast Health
Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength, but it doesn’t have to take away her self-confidence.
“Look Good… Feel Better” is a free program presented by the American Cancer Society, National Cosmetology Association and the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation that teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active treatment. The program helps women combat the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. A licensed cosmetologist can help find the colors to best suit each woman’s complexion, and offer tips and advise on using wigs, scarves and other accessories to disguise or even compliment each woman’s personal battle against cancer.
Women fighting cancer and looking for a cosmetic boost are invited to come to Tanner Breast Health the second Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon for a free class on finding the best way to maintain a healthy appearance during this difficult time. Tanner Breast Health is located on the second floor of the West Georgia Specialty Center, adjacent to the Roy Richards, Sr. Cancer Center on Clinic Avenue in Carrollton, next door to Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.
The program is product-neutral and makes no medical claims. For more information, call Tanner Breast Health at 770.836.9280 or the American Cancer Society at 770.631.0625.
