The Tanner Occupational Health Center offers services to help employers in the west Georgia–east Alabama region manage work-related illnesses and injuries.
Services include injury treatment, drug and alcohol tests, hearing screenings, Department of Transportation (DOT) examinations and toxic chemical screenings. Special offerings assist employers in complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
The professionals at Tanner Occupational Health Center, including a full-time occupational health physician, also provide follow-up care, referrals and case management of employees, while keeping employers informed of any treatment.
Tanner Immediate Care
Tanner Immediate Care is a walk-in clinic which offers professional, compassionate treatment for non-life-threatening conditions in a cost-effective manner.
Immediate Care also offers sports, school and insurance physicals to employee family members as well as referrals to private physicians, hospitals and specialists. (Copies of medical records will be sent to private physicians upon request.)
If a patient’s condition requires more specialized attention, the Immediate Care Center has access to all the resources of Tanner Health System, located just a short drive away.
Immediate Care offers treatment for:
- lacerations and sprains
- bronchitis
- flu
- sore throats and earaches
- personal drug screens
- free blood pressure checks.
Immediate Care also offers occupational health services. These programs include:
- post-offer and annual physical exams
- Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exams
- drug screening (NIDA/SAMSHA certified)
- quick drug screens
- evidential breath testing
- audiometric testing
- Medical Review Officer (MRO) services
Workers’ Compensation Treatment
The worker’s compensation team is led by experienced physicians who ensure appropriate care and a timely return to work, using modified and restricted work duty whenever possible.
Our health care providers strive to treat patients with compassion while assisting employers in maintaining cost-effective programs.
Workers’ Compensation Treatment and Services include:
- injury and illness evaluation and treatment
- in-house radiology and laboratory services
- constant communication with employers and insurance companies for work status information and specialty referrals
