RN and LPN Sign On Bonus
A Sign-on Bonus is available to all candidates who are hired for non-salaried positions requiring RN or LPN license. The Sign-on Bonus is $2,000 for Full-time and Limited Full-time Positions and $1,000 for Part-time positions.
Nursing Career Ladder for Registered Nurses
The Nursing Career Ladder program was established at Tanner Health System for the purpose of developing and recognizing the professional registered nursing staff. The ladder has been designed to provide a clinical track for advancement in terms of:
- Level of professional development
- Level of responsibility
- Pay
On employment, all nurses with primary clinical responsibility will be placed one of four levels of the clinical ladder. Specific criteria exist for placement of the ladder along with requirements for promotion to the next level. The four levels of the clinical ladder are as follows:
- Clinical Nurse I - New graduates or nurses who have not practiced nursing within a five-year period.
- Clinical Nurse II - A nurse who has a minimum of twelve months experience at Tanner and/or who has been engaged in active nursing practice for at least twelve months in an acute care facility or a related practice prior to being employed with Tanner.
- Clinical Nurse III - A proficient nurse who has chosen to remain at the bedside providing expanded patient care. This nurse has in-depth knowledge of nursing practice, is self-motivated and takes responsibility for the development and nurturing of self. It is expected that this nurse will take an active role in both patient and staff education and Process Quality Improvement at the unit level.
- Clinical Nurse IV - The Clinical Nurse IV has an in-depth knowledge of nursing practice and takes responsibility for development and nurturing of self. This position will include accountability for maintaining high standards of patient care on the entire nursing unit, demonstrating a supportive attitude toward nursing management and share responsibility with the Nurse Manager in patient education, staff development and Process Improvement.
