Weight Before Fitness Program

Burn the Yule log and those extra calories this holiday season by keeping your mind on fitness. Don’t start the new year with the resolution to get back to the weight you were before the holidays when you can get a jump on your New Year’s resolutions right now. Resolve to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day and pay attention to the calories you consume by going easy on the calorie-laden holiday treats. Keep track of your fitness activity and turn it in by Dec. 31 to be eligible for some great prizes!

Registration for Fitting Into the Holidays begins Nov. 20, and the program starts Dec. 4. Check with one of Tanner Health Source’s Health Advocates for more details.


Classes and Support Groups
Our spacious classroom is the perfect place for you to learn about health-related topics and support groups. A variety of classes are available, including:

  • Exercise and Fitness
  • Prenatal
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Safe Sitter
  • Parenting
  • Health and Safety...and many more

Screenings
During regular mall hours, check your blood pressure with an automated blood pressure monitoring station or your weight with our scales. One of our staff members is available to administer finger stick cholesterol testing, body fat analysis and blood pressure testing. Other screenings will be available throughout the year.

Internet Kiosks
In addition to the classes, support groups and health screenings, Tanner Health Source provides several stations for health education and information. Our computer kiosks allow you to access www.tanner.org, where you can search for a Tanner physician, conduct online health searches, access our class schedules, register for classes, and apply for employment at any of the Tanner facilities.

Mall Walkers
Tanner Health Source also sponsors the mall walkers program. Tie your tennis shoes and trek the inside perimeter of the mall where mile markers are strategically placed to track your distance. When you register with the program, you can track the number of miles you walk by logging into your individual accounts on our computers. As you complete milestones, you'll receive prizes such as water bottles, pedometers and backpacks. Before or after your walk, enjoy complimentary coffee, juice or water at the Tanner Health Source refreshment area.
