Headquarter location
Tanner Health System is headquartered in Carrollton, the largest city in Carroll County. Located 45 miles west of Atlanta and 90 miles east of Birmingham, Carroll County is the heart of west Georgia and forms the western boundary of metropolitan Atlanta. It is easily accessed by Interstate 20, US Highways 27, 78 and several state highways. Carroll County's population of more than 113,600 lives, works and plays in seven picturesque towns, ranging from the smallest, Roopville, with more than 200 residents, to Villa Rica, with a population of more than 12,800 and Carrollton with a population of more than 23,200.

Long, warm summers and short, mild winters are enjoyed in communities throughout west Georgia. The average temperature for the year is a cool and comfortable 62.2 degrees F.

Culture
A wonderful place to reside, west Georgia is located conveniently within proximity of downtown Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, one of the largest shopping malls in the state (Arbor Place mall in Douglasville) and numerous parks and recreational opportunities.

West Georgia is a thriving, progressive community—home to a vibrant arts scene with plentiful art galleries and festivals, a regional university and other post-secondary schools, excellent public and private schools and a strong local economy.

The area offers a wealth of cultural, recreational and tourist attractions to suit any taste.
